PRESCRIBED DANGER Also available as Unabridged Audible Audio Edition Working in the ER of a small South Carolina hospital, Dr. Rhea Lynch has seen it allmost of it at 2:00 a.m. But when an interracial couple is rushed in, beaten and bloodied by a mysterious hate group, the patients show signs of a fast-acting pulmonary infection Rhea has never seen before. Within hours, it proves fatal. Soon, more victims are rushed in, and an epidemic has Dawkins County in an icy grip of terror. As the puzzling illness claims more lives by the hour, Rhea begins to draw some startling conclusions about the nature of the illness . . . and about its connections to the military. How could something like this have happened in this peaceful community? Can it be stopped? Every second counts as Rhea desperately tries to fit the pieces togetherand soon realizes that she is dealing with something bigger and more terrifying than she could ever imagine. Praise for the Rhea Lynch, M.D. novels Move over Robin Cook
and Echo Heron! I had to stop reading a few times to calm myself down!
My mother would call this exciting novel a WOO-WOO! ("Wow"
and "Lu-Lu" mixed.) You will not be able to turn the pages fast
enough. Here is a novel that I highly recommend to everyone! A
KEEPER! Hunter's exciting
tale, told in first person, pulls readers into a strong woman's fight
for friendship. Her heroine is well developed and inspirationalnot
in her perfection, but in fighting through her weaknesses. I like Hunter's new
style. I know she's not really a doctor, she just writes about one. But
after reading Delayed Diagnosis, I think I'll list her as my primary
care physician with my insurance company. Hunter does everything
right in this novel. Her pacing is great, scenes shift seamlessly, dialogue
is crisp, often humorous and always to the point. Her character definition
is complex and her plot development is logical. I fully enjoyed Prescribed
Danger and recommend it to fans of suspense thrillers. Romance fans
should be made aware that, while there is a budding romance or two in
the novel, nothing is resolved between the romantic couples, and the focus
is not on the romantic aspects of the story but on the suspense. This
was my first book by Ms. Hunter, but it most certainly won't be my last.
I look forward to reading the previous and future novels about Dr. Rhea
Lynch. |
